Adrian Rodrigues, CFA

Managing Director

Adrian is a Co-Founder and a Managing Director of Provenance Capital Group where he helps develop blended capital structures that catalyze resilient biological systems and businesses. Before Provenance, Adrian co-founded the boutique consulting firm Hyphae Partners where he helped companies finance and build regenerative business models. Additionally, he worked at Patagonia within its Venture Capital arm Tin Shed Ventures, helping author a standard for Regenerative Organic Agriculture and exploring Regenerative Organic Land Funds. He is an experienced asset allocator, fundraiser, and business model innovator.

Adrian spent six years at Morgan Stanley helping long time horizon investors manage their asset allocations and diligence investment opportunities across asset classes and sectors. He has also lectured on food innovation at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business and designed and taught an entrepreneurship intensive for farmers at the Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture.

Adrian is a graduate of Berkeley Haas’ full-time MBA program. At Haas, Adrian was a Portfolio Manager of the Haas Socially Responsible Investment Fund and a Member of the Center for Responsible Business’ Student Advisory Board. He also serves as an inaugural advisor for the Investor Resource Council of J.E.D.I. Collaborative, which aims to frame the business case for embedding equity, justice, diversity and inclusion into our entire food ecosystem. He received a B.A. in English from Williams College, studied English literature at Exeter College, Oxford University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He’s an avid chef, backyard farmer, and budding yogi.

François-Jérôme (FJ) Selosse

Managing Director

FJ is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Provenance Capital Group, where he works to enable the deployment of mission-aligned capital towards regenerative businesses and projects. Prior to PCG, he co-founded Hyphae Partners, a boutique consulting firm helping regenerative pioneers refine their business models and raise funds in order to scale their impact. As a former Fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund and a member of the sustainability team at TPG Capital, he has helped private companies design and implement numerous sustainability strategies. He is an experienced investor and business strategy expert.

Prior to his MBA, FJ spent seven years working for investment banks, including Barclays Capital, and investment funds with over $2Bn in AUM to manage and invest capital across industries and asset classes, with a particular focus on high yield and distressed opportunities. He bore responsibilities spanning the entirety of the investment process including designing new investment strategies, developing deal sourcing pipelines, researching macro and idiosyncratic value drivers, performing deal due diligence, structuring deals, executing and managing investments, and managing risk at the portfolio level.

FJ is a graduate of Berkeley Haas’ full-time MBA program where he focused on researching and designing blended financial structures that catalyze and align development, conservation, and agricultural stakeholders. He also holds a M.S. in Financial Engineering from NYU, and a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from the Ecole Polytechnique in France. FJ is also a 2020 Integrated Capital Fellow through RSF Social Finance.

Logan Yonavjak, MBA, MF

Managing Director

Logan is a financial services professional, social entrepreneur, and author. She’s incredibly passionate about building businesses and guiding capital in ways that replenish, restore, and sustain our social, environmental, and economic systems to advance a more holistic future for all. Prior to co-founding Provenance Capital Group, Logan worked as a consultant with a variety of clients, primarily focused on working lands investments. She has also held positions with CREO Syndicate, the Yale Investments Office, and Align Impact.

Logan’s work in financial services has involved connecting high net worth individuals and other investors to regenerative investment opportunities. She has also developed new financial models and tools, particularly focused on land conservation and restoration, and has written extensively about how to invest for people, planet, and profit. Logan has advised a variety of impact-oriented startups, on both raising capital and reporting impact metrics.

She is a Startingbloc Fellow, an On Deck Climate Tech Fellow, a Property and Environment Research (PERC) Fellow, and a Kinship Fellow. Since 2017, Logan has served on the Board of Slow Money NYC, a local network of Slow Money, a national non-profit catalyzing investment in sustainable food and farms. Logan holds a Masters of Forestry from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She also holds a B.A. with distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jim Pines

Managing Director

Jim has worked as a top executive in a diverse range of businesses throughout his career.  For over 20 years, he helped build his family’s manufacturing business into a global enterprise, completing his tenure with the company as an Executive Vice President in charge of sales and operations. Afterward, he opened his family’s family office, and in 2016, started working on an ag-tech start-up business that he Co-Founded. This enterprise allowed him to merge his business experience with his personal interest in agriculture and conservation.

However, exposure to the harmful outcomes of commercial agriculture both in terms of deteriorating farm income and environmental impacts heightened his interest in exploring alternative approaches to conventional farming. As a result, he has dedicated his career to building financial infrastructure and mobilizing capital towards opportunities that produce resilient economic, social, and environmental outcomes.

Jim is on the Board of Directors of the Aldo Leopold Foundation and is an Advisor for the Savanna Institute. He owns three farm properties in the Midwest, which are managed according to conservation and regenerative agriculture practices. Additionally, he is a commercially rated private pilot.

Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in economics in 1984, and a Masters of Accountancy with a minor in finance from the University of South Carolina.

Anita Krishnan

Senior Associate

Anita is a Senior Associate at Provenance Capital Group, where she combines her investment banking background with a strong commitment to environmental welfare and sustainability.

Before joining Provenance, Anita worked as a Corporate Finance Associate at Cain Brothers, where she worked closely with the firm’s clients in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Cain Brothers, Anita spent the first six years of her investment banking career at Citigroup. At Citi, Anita was a member of the Global Industrials Group, focusing on clients in the Imaging & Printing sector.

Bringing over eight years of investment banking experience to the table, Anita has played a pivotal role in numerous transactions, including M&A and debt and equity issuances. She has also honed her expertise in preparing clients for market by creating marketing materials, conducting due diligence, reaching out to potential buyers and investors and developing financial models.

Anita is a graduate of Barnard College and holds a B.A. in Economics-Mathematics.

Michelle He

Investment Banking Associate

Michelle He is an investment banking associate at Provenance Capital Group passionate about scaling the impact of businesses pioneering technology and practices in conservation, sustainability and regenerative systems.

Prior to joining Provenance, Michelle spent four years in investment banking at Janney Montgomery Scott. Working on the Corporate Advisory team, she specialized in mergers and acquisitions, as well as capital raises and valuation assignments in a variety of industries. She bore responsibility for all facets of the M&A deal execution process including financial modeling, marketing to potential buyers, preparing deal memoranda, and performing due diligence.

Michelle received a B.A. in Economics and Music with a minor in Human-centered Design from Dartmouth College. She is an avid outdoors enthusiast, animal-lover and foodie and enjoys travel and RVing.
